I joined Stoffel Labs as the founding Growth & Product Marketing Lead from March 2 to June 8th, 2026. The company was building developer infrastructure around secure multi-party computation (MPC), secret sharing, and Beaver triples, and needed a marketing function capable of reaching a technically sophisticated audience.
I restarted the content program on March 30 and built a full-funnel motion spanning technical blog content, developer communities, owned social channels, and product documentation. The work was delivered with $0 in paid advertising spend.
The core challenge was creating meaningful awareness for a young, pre-seed technical brand without a paid acquisition budget or an established marketing engine. Baseline traffic outside major events was approximately 30 sessions per day, and search contributed only 106 Google-referred pageviews during the period.
I also needed to determine which content and distribution formats actually worked. Early results showed a significant mismatch: the most widely distributed post, Data in Use Protection, generated 858 sessions but an average session duration of only 15 seconds, while Analytics Liability (MXP 2026) attracted just 31 visitors but held attention for 7 minutes 49 seconds. The problem was not simply producing more content—it was matching credible technical content to the communities and formats most likely to engage with it.
I built the marketing function from the ground up around three principles: technical credibility, targeted distribution, and measurable experimentation.
I used PostHog to instrument the marketing site with GeoIP and GDPR-aware analytics, tracking sessions, referrers, landing pages, and UTM campaigns. I maintained separate measurement bases for sessions, pageviews, and unique users so that channel comparisons remained consistent.
I used Buffer to schedule and measure LinkedIn and X/Twitter posts, including impressions, engagement, retweets, clicks, and follower growth. I used Mintlify analytics to measure documentation visitors, pageviews, searches, referral sources, and the most-used human-facing product pages.
The distribution workflow combined UTM-tagged campaign links, persona-segmented copy, technical blog content, Reddit, Hacker News, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and the Mintlify documentation site.
The organic engine generated 5,109 sessions across 84 countries in 99 days, with no paid advertising spend. Two earned-media events produced the majority of the volume:
/new to /rising to /top, and the MPC data-in-use post produced a 714-session spike across April 11–12.The audience was global and predominantly new: attributed users came from 84 countries, including 487 from the United States and 241 from Brazil. Reddit alone reached users in 82 countries and helped establish a particularly strong Brazil and wider LATAM footprint.
Owned social channels also grew during the active posting window. LinkedIn followers increased 39% across 41 posts, with a 17% engagement rate and 3,088 impressions.

X/Twitter generated 14,869 impressions, 62 retweets, 47 link clicks, and 56 new followers across 39 posts.
The experiments produced clear format-level findings. On LinkedIn, adding a PDF to the same named-breach format increased average engagement from 10.7% to 26.8%, approximately 2.5×. On X, named breach anchors generated roughly four times the impressions of posts without that anchor—970 versus 225 on average. At the bottom of the funnel, the Mintlify documentation site recorded 712 visitors, 897 views, and 9 searches, with /introduction the leading human-facing page at 236 views.
The result was not just a short-term traffic increase; it was a repeatable understanding of which technical stories belonged on which channels: Beaver Triples on Hacker News and MPC data-in-use content on Reddit.

Very impressive! Curious how you think this would look differently with any AI tools? Or, how would you do this again with or without AI?
