Publish to your public URL

Click Publish, then land on /c/{slug} and share the published case study.

You are in Preview mode with Publish available. Preview before you publish covers the disabled Publish tooltips. There is no slug editor. Dusted derives the slug from the title on first publish and keeps that slug.

  1. Click Publish. Dusted generates the summary bullets, then publishes. The control reads Publishing… and an overlay reads You’re about to create living proof of your expertise. If summary generation fails, a toast reads Could not generate the summary - try again. You stay in Preview mode. Click Publish again after you fix the draft or wait.
Publish in the editor header
Publish in the editor header
  1. A successful publish opens /c/ plus the new slug. There is no /p/{slug} page. Old /p/ links 404. Later title edits do not change the slug.

  2. The celebration reads Congratulations, your case study is published! The share heading is Share your case study on. The actions are Share on LinkedIn and Share on X. Both open the published /c/{slug} URL. Download share image saves a share card. Close with Close dialog. There is no Copy link control in this celebration.

  3. On the published page, the five headings stay The context, The challenge, The approach, The tools, and The result. The sidebar can show Snapshot, Industry, Disciplines, Goals, Collaborators, and Tools mentioned. Pending Invited rows do not appear. Show summary can appear here.

  4. Click Edit in the author header when you want the five bodies again. A dialog asks Do you want to edit your case study? The description says the case study will be temporarily unpublished while you edit, and that existing engagements carry over when you republish. Click Confirm to unpublish, or Cancel to stay. After Confirm, an overlay reads Let’s turn experience into even stronger evidence. Dusted opens /c/case-study/editor/ plus the case study id. The public /c/{slug} page 404s while it is a draft. If unpublish fails, a toast reads Could not unpublish case study.

  5. Publish again from Preview mode. Dusted keeps the same slug. The celebration opens again after that publish.

Continue with What signed-out readers see. Return to Preview before you publish if you need the Publish tooltip sentences.
