Understand section quality scores

Read credibility scores on Ranger chips and the section map.

You are in the editor with Ranger open. Meet Ranger covers opening the pane. Stay in edit mode.

  1. Look at Section progress at the top of the pane. It lists The context, The challenge, The approach, The tools, and The result. The visible text on each control is the heading.

  1. When Ranger records a score, a chip in the thread reads {sectionLabel} credibility: {score}. For The context at 72, that chip reads The context credibility: 72. Hover a heading after a score exists. The tooltip reads Credibility {score}. The integer is 0 through 100. A heading with no score yet has no chip and no tooltip.

  2. Each heading button names a status for assistive tech: Not started, In progress, Ready, or Written. Not started is the default. In progress applies while that heading is the active interview. Ready applies after Ranger marks the heading complete and the body is still empty. Written applies as soon as the heading has copy.

  3. When Ranger marks a heading complete, the pane can show {sectionLabel} is ready. That line is completeness, not the integer. The integer still lives on the chip and the Credibility {score} tooltip.

  4. Ranger records a score when the discussion adds material, when you attach a file it can read, or right after a proposal card appears. Closing Close assistant does not clear the numbers. A failed score update does not print a chip.

  5. The score is not a publish rule. Preview still needs a fresh Snapshot and complete taxonomy before Publish. Type what is missing in Ask for changes and click Send reply, or click Upload context, then watch for a new chip.

Continue with Accept or refine Ranger drafts when a draft card is ready. Return to Meet Ranger if you need the pane again.
