Earn patches

Dusted awards five live patches: Toasted Marshmallow, Rare Gem, Wildfire, Dusty Boots, and Founding Member. They appear in the Patches row on a public profile.

1. Open /profile or click My Profile. The card that holds Most Loved Gear also has a Patches heading. Click About Patches. The dialog title is Patches and how to earn them.

1. Read the two groups. Earned automatically on Dusted lists Wildfire Patch, Dusty Boots Patch, and Founding Member Patch. Given by fellow marketers (your set replenishes monthly) lists Toasted Marshmallow Patch and Rare Gem Patch.

2. Wildfire is awarded when a published case study hits its view, upvote, and comment thresholds in its first week. Dusty Boots is awarded once, when enough of your comments on different published case studies have been upvoted. Founding Member is awarded when you complete all five founding steps before the deadline.

3. The founding checklist lives on Home at /me, not on the profile. The card is headed Earn your Founding Member patch. The five rows are Complete your profile, Publish your first case study, Support the community, Share one piece of feedback, and Invite five marketers.

4. Another member can gift Toasted Marshmallow from your profile or a comment, and Rare Gem from a published case study of yours. You cannot gift a patch to yourself. Awards stay.

5. If you own the profile and have no awards, the empty bar reads Earn patches by contributing. Visitors see No patches yet. Stacked counts show as ×{n}. Dusty Boots and Founding Member do not stack. The row shows up to five patches, then +{n}. On Home, a NEW ribbon marks an award you have not seen.
