Set up your public profile

Open Profile settings to edit name, photo, role, employer, and Profile URL.

Your public profile is /profile. Open it from My Profile or View My Profile. Visitors see your name, follower count, and a byline from Current role and Current employer. On your own profile, click Edit Profile.

  1. Click Edit Profile. Dusted opens Profile settings and the address becomes /profile#edit. Opening this dialog records Complete your profile on the founding-member checklist, even if you do not click Save. Unsaved edits prompt Discard unsaved profile changes? Close with Close settings.

  2. Stay on General. On a wide screen the tabs are General, Featured Case Studies, Pins, Notifications, and Account. On a smaller screen they are General, Featured, Pins, Alerts, and Account. The General panel heading is Profile. Industry and disciplines stay in onboarding.

  3. Set Avatar. Click Change profile photo and choose a jpeg, png, or webp file of 5 MB or less. A status line reads Updating profile photo. A file that is too large reads Please try again with a photo under 5MB. Remove profile photo appears when a photo is stored. Avatar writes save on their own.

  4. Edit First name, Last name, and Profile URL. The preview shows {origin}/profile/{slug}. A valid slug is 3–60 lowercase letters, numbers, and inner hyphens. Reserved words and UUID-shaped values are blocked. After you save, share /profile/{slug}.

  5. Edit Current role, Current employer, and Start date. Add Past employer rows with + Add another employer. Click Save. The control reads Saving..., then Profile updated.
