Understand the five sections

Write The context, The challenge, The approach, The tools, and The result as one article.

The editor is one scrolling page. Five headings stack under the title in a fixed order. There is no tab row. The published case study uses the same headings.

  1. Read the fallback labels: The context, The challenge, The approach, The tools, and The result. Write what was true in The context, the constraint in The challenge, the path you took in The approach, the vendors in The tools, and what changed in The result.

The editor with five section headings
  1. Leave the title above the headings. Empty, it shows Untitled. An empty body shows a placeholder from that heading, such as Write the context.... You fill the bodies. You do not add or remove headings.

  2. Click Interview me beside a heading, or Interview Me in the more-options menu, to open Ranger. Section progress lists the same five headings. Click a label to move to that heading.

  3. Follow the next-step button when it appears. After the heading you are on has copy, Ranger can show Write plus the next heading that still needs work, such as Write The context. When every heading has copy, that control reads Review & publish. It scrolls to the top. It does not publish.

Dusted may change the heading text. If a heading is missing or blank, it falls back to The context, The challenge, The approach, The tools, and The result.

Open the editor from Start a new case study. Format your writing covers Bold, lists, and the + menu.
