Stay current with notifications
Open Notifications to see comments, follows, pins, and patches.
In-app history lives at /notifications. Email settings live on the Notifications tab in Profile settings, not on the history page.
- In the sidebar, click Open notifications. The popover heading is Notifications. It lists up to five recent rows. A trailing link reads See all notifications. An empty popover reads You're all caught up.

-
Click See all notifications, or go to
/notifications. You can also open the account menu and choose Notifications. An empty page reads No notifications yet. When someone engages with your work, you'll see it here. -
Each row shows the actor's photo, the actor's name, and the action. Unread rows show a coral dot. You get a row when someone comments on your case study, replies to your comment, mentions you, upvotes your comment or case study, pins or quotes your case study, or follows you. You also get a row for collaborator adds, patches, Founding Member, and when a case study of yours reaches 20 upvotes or 10 bookmarks.
-
A normal click marks that row read and goes to the destination. Opening the popover marks those five rows seen. It does not mark them read. If more than five unseen rows exist, the bell dot stays until you view the rest on
/notifications. -
On
/notifications, click Mark all as read when any row is unread. The control then reads Marking all as read…. This marks every retained row read. It does not delete history. -
Show more appears when another page exists. While Dusted loads, the control reads Loading…. A failed page can show Could not load more notifications.
-
Open Profile settings and click Notifications. On a small screen that tab is named Alerts. Each kind of email there has Instant, Daily, and Off. Comments, replies, mentions, pins, collaborator adds, milestones, patches, and new followers email you right away by default. Upvotes, bookmarks, and activity from people you follow arrive in one daily email. Control notification preferences covers each setting.
Set up your public profile covers opening Profile settings. Explore published work is the start of this chapter.
